Another tradition in France is that on easter the church are all rung at a particular time to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. The story is that the bells are coming back from Rome and delivering their eggs on the morning of Easter, they hide all the chocolates and eggs whilst the children are looking up at the sky trying to see the bells.
